Elevator of Ben C. Thomas
West Side Of Jackson Street between 6th & 7th
Ben C. Thomas entered the grain business in 1898, but not as an inexperienced dealer, having been connected with the firm doing a similar business. The elevator is the largest in this part of the state, having a capacity of 100,000 bushels. It is of brick and concrete construction and is fire proof. the power plant is separate from the elevator proper, thus giving a greater degree of protection from fire. The equipment is modern in every respect which insures the rapid and easy handling of grain both in loading and unloading. Mr. Thomas ships grain to all parts of the country and in this manner affords the farmers the highest prices of a first class market.
